"Mária" Pension is situated under the High Tatras mountains, in the village of Spišská Teplica, 1 km far from the town of Poprad and 10 km far from Starý Smokovec - a centre of the High Tatras. Its position under the Tatras makes it a suitable point of departure for other national parks in Slovakia such as the Low Tatras, the Slovak Paradise and the Pieniny.

There are many historical sights in its surroundings, out of which we cannot omit the world-famous town of Levoča, the Spiš Castle, the towns of Kežmarok and Spišská Sobota. Other beauties of nature close by are the caves, such as the Dobšina Ice-cave, the Belanská Cave and the Važecká Cave.
   


After ten minutes of driving by car you can get to the ski resort of Lopušná Dolina-Svit with artificial snowing and down-hill slopes suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers. Other surrounding ski resorts, such as Starý Smokovec, Tatranská Lomnica, Štrbské Pleso, Ždiar and Krompachy-Plejsy, all of them having artificial snowing, offer many opportunities for wonderful skiing experience. There are cross-country tracks, leading directly from the pension to surrounding valleys.



"Mária" Pension is a sort of a family pension, providing its services only for guests of the pension. This guarantees privacy and a pleasant familiar atmosphere.The pension has capacity of 18 beds.

In summer, there are very good conditions for hiking, cycling, walking in nature coupled with mushroom- and wood fruit-picking. Lovers of bathing and swimming can visit the thermal swimming pool in Vrbov or the swimming-bath in Poprad.

A part of the pension is a tavern, where food is served in the form of a half-board: breakfast (cold buffet), dinner (menu or by request).
Among served dishes there are Slovak and European specialities, fondue, gridiron dishes and vegetarian food. All dishes are made by the landlady and this fact is a guarantee of their quality.
A fireplace, tones of pleasant music and a wide choice of beverages are other features, which will make your evening here agreeable. The tavern is furnished with a colour television, providing both national and satellite programmes.

  
    



The pension has its own separate car park. You can enjoy sitting on a terrace in a decorative garden. A part of the garden is a children´s corner with a sand pile, a fire with sitting, where typical Slovak evenings with folklore music are organised. A1
